Custom Design Options and Features
A custom package is by no means “one size fits all”. It is created to meet a specific design, purpose, or capability. There are many different options available as far as the type of package design and material that can be offered. Following we offer an overview of these choices.

    Custom Thermoforming
Thermoforming is adaptable to hold or display any product in the consumer, pharmaceutical/medical, and industrial markets. The process is the forming of plastic sheets to specific sizes, shapes and configurations. This is accomplished by subjecting the plastic sheet to a heat, pressure, and/or vacuum process.

The first step in any custom process is to determine exactly what kind of package the customer wants and needs. We accomplish this by brainstorming with the customer for the perfect package design. If their requirement lends itself to a custom thermoform, we move forward with design drawings and material selection. Once customer approval of the CAD-CAM design drawings has been accomplished, we proceed to tooling for both prototype and production. We offer the ability to create the prototype molds for sampling of product for review, as well as final molds and cutting dies to eventually be used in our facility for production parts. Personalization can be accomplished using plate inserts for company names and logos. The possibilities with a custom product are infinite.

Thermoformed product choices include, but are not limited to, blisters, trays, displays, inserts, clamshells, covers, component parts, from a thickness of .006 to .080 and as large as 35” x 50” x 7”.

    Custom Foam
When it comes to a custom foam design, again it is important to determine the customer’s wants and needs. Foam is suitable and ideal for displays, storage, cushioning for shipping purposes, and insulating/temperature-controlled capabilities. Whether it is sawing, sheeting, contouring, water jet cutting and die cutting, pressure forming, convoluting, molding, laminating or hot wiring, no process is beyond our capabilities. We work with a number of foam types, densities, fire- and moisture-retardant, temperature-controlled, and colors to suit the requirement.

Again, just as in the custom thermoforming process, we go to the drawing board to create a CAD-CAM design for customer approval. This eventually will give us the foundation we need to create production tooling. From that tooling, we are able to fabricate quality production parts to meet our customer’s needs.

When it comes to the foam side of our business, diversification has taken us into many different markets. Our services have been extended to the Cosmetics, Electronics, Pharmaceutical, Medical/Healthcare, Food, Automotive, Toy, and Consumer industries.

    Custom Flexible Packaging
Custom Pack is able to customize using various styles, films, gauges, closures, colors, printing, and sizes to create a bag style of your choice to suit a variety of applications. Our custom design capability has allowed us to be particularly successful with this type of packaging in many different industries, but moreover in providing value-added solutions for the clinical laboratory and research community. Having serviced the Pharmaceutical/Medical field for 35+ years, we are very familiar with current day regulations for the safe transportation of infectious and hazardous waste products. Using this knowledge, we can produce a compliant product to meet the regulations and add that value to our service.

Using gravure and flexographic printing options, we can customize your flexible package with company logos and slogans.

    Custom Corrugated
Or possibly you are considering a customized carton with personalized logos and paperboard requirements to suit a specific need, i.e., insulation, leak protection, weight requirements, etc. - something that will help to set your product apart from those products packaged in the “off-the-shelf” cartons. Give us the opportunity to design and create that specialized carton that reflects your style and choice of presentation. In-house engineering capabilities, as well as die cutting and in-line printing experience, give us the edge we need to meet your custom expectations in the most cost effective and efficient manner.

    Prototyping
With any of the custom design choices discussed, we offer the opportunity and suggest the importance of prototyping the design prior to final production. This allows the design to “come to life” and is an important step in the guarantee of customer satisfaction.
